Sony VAIO VPC-CW21FX/P 14-Inch Laptop (Pink) This instant

I picked up this little gem of a laptop computer for my wife to replace her recently expired Asus EeePC 701 netbook and an Athlon 64 3300+ desktop that died. Her three criteria was that the laptop be light (around 5 lbs), be compact with at least a 13" screen, and be powerful enough to handle everyday tasks that she would encounter as a teacher.

The good: This notebook computer is almost perfect. The dual core / four thread processor is snappy. The screen displays colors vibrantly and graphics seem terrific. The keyboard is comfortable to type on for extended periods of time. The touchpad works well. It has an HDMI port so that you can watch HD movies from your computer on your flat screen TV. Webcam and mic work well.

The bad: Lots of bloatware on this computer, as noted by other reviewers. Make sure to visit the Sony website to upgrade your BIOS to fix potential problems with the fan, and to download other driver updates. The screen can be hard to use in sunlight because it is glossy.

The ugly: I secretly want this computer all for myself.Get more detail about Sony VAIO VPC-CW21FX/P 14-Inch Laptop (Pink).
