1. Re Amazon: "Select Super Saver Shipping as your shipping speed. After your order ships, it will be delivered within 5-9 business days." The secret word is "After". The 5-9 business days countdown begins "after" Amazon gets around to shipping your product. You could be waiting half a month before you get it.
2. The Lenovo U-550 is slow, verrrry slow. I didn't realize they still made computers this slow. What a disappointment after using my older HP Pavilion, which I wouldn't buy again because,in my opinion, it suffered from premature hardware failure.
3. This Lenovo U-550 came with more junky software than I wanted to weed through. Maybe it is partially Windows 7 fault, but Lenovo seemed to be taking a lot of credit. All I really want is a reasonably fast computer with the hardware features as specified and an intuitive operating system that is compatible with the hardware. This is my computer. I don't need others anticipating what software and features I might like. If I want something special I can go on line and get it.
