I ordered this item for the 18.4 inch screen because of my poor eyesight. Unfortunately this system apparent has only 2 possible video resolutions the its "native mode", which makes characters much too small for me to read anything on the screen, and the 800 by 600 mode. So the wide screen is useless to me. Apparently J & R will not accept the return of a computer after setup has been run, so I'm stuck with it. It may be of some use as a second computer if it is compatible with my 30 inch monitor, but not as a laptop. It may be a good laptop at a good price, but check the specs carefully to know what you are ordering.
